Reliance Jio has officially launched JioMeet, a video calling app to combat with zoom. India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani after getting huge sums of funds for its Jio platform has launched a new services JioMeet video conferencing platform. The Application for this is available on play store and AppStore.

The platform is siad to be the result of the huge funding the Reliance got for its stacks from big companies like Facebook. The JioMeet will be a direct competition for all video conferencing apps like Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft teams and others.

The Reliance power Video conferencing platform provides its users unlimited video calling starting from one to one video calls to a 100 member team meeting that too for free and without any further hindrance or time barrier. According to JioMeet, you can get up to 24 hours of the uninterrupted free video call. The service as of now doesn’t have any price tag with it.

The platform has many features that are competitive with all the platforms like free high definition(720 p) video calls. Also, creating a video conference of up to 100 users. Also, the website says meetings are encrypted but its not sure where calls are end-to-end encrypted or not.

The platform is said to have “Enterprise-grade” host controls like password protection, multi-device login, screen sharing. The app includes ‘safe driving mode‘ doe when a participant is it commutes. Also, the host can create a ‘waiting room’ for a call to keep a check on participants entering in the call.
