  • This process no longer works after April 2021 update. I tried renaming the folder to the current Edge folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\85.0.564.67\installer but without success. Microsoft Edge is 100% malware that adds zero functionality. Someone needs to bring a class action against MS for this abusive practice. As soon as alternative OS improves to the point that I can use it for business, I am through with Windows. It is a horrible product. I HATE WINDOWS 10 !!!!!

  • This does still work. While the command appears to do nothing, i.e. does not print any message in the Command Prompt and is very fast at executing (somewhat of a novelty if you’ve had Edge clogging up your system) almost all the files in the Edge folders are deleted.
