Amid at the tension between India and Chine, Government has blocked 59 Apps in the view of Security issue
The central government has blocked 59 apps with Chinese links. The list includes some applications that are popular amongst users like Tiktok, WeChat, UCBrowser which is done aimed at the military clashes on 15 June at Ladakh in which 20 Indian Soldiers died.
Why 59 Chinese Apps Banned By India?
The 59 Chines applications that are banned by the Indian Government based on violation of terms of usage, compromising users privacy, and being used as spyware or malware.
The prime minister of INDIA Narendra Modi said India has given a ‘befitting response ‘ to China with this. He also mentioned about the ongoing call for boycott of Chinese Goods. Further he added that “We will buy local and be vocal for local and this will help India become stronger”.
Many officials including Ravi Shankar Prashad tweeted about the ban and explained this is done aiming the safety, security, sovereignty, and integrity of India.

This is a great step by the government as these applications were extracting data from your smartphone and sending it to the Chinese servers. And Chinese companies are dependent on their government and have to share this information to them if the ask.

The applications that are banned are mainly from companies might have links with the Chinese govt. The banned apps are from DU, Cheetah mobiles, QQ, and most of the small video platforms.
What should you do?
You should try to delete all applications that are being run by the Chinese companies or at least delete all these 59 Chinese Apps Banned By India for your safety.
